Magnetic Targeting Device

A Magnetic targeting device for locating screw holes in intramedullary nails that are used in the repair of long-bone fractures. Eliminates need for large and cost prohibitive equipment and exposure to x-rays for screw hole alignment as currently practiced. Prototype has been tested in cadaver and foam bones and beta prototype is currently under production. Applications include military medicine, orthopedics and trauma surgery.
